Moldovan PM to present report in parliament
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu will present a report in parliament on the results achieved by the government team in the first months of his mandate. The report is expected to be presented at the end of next March or in early April. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today made statements to this effect.
“Traditions sometimes need to be changed,” the prime minister said when asked why he did not present a report after 100 days since the current government had taken office.
“Certainly, I will come to parliament with a report. I believe this will happen at the end of March or the beginning of April. We will discuss with the MPs when this event is most appropriate, what the schedule is. I always try to do something different. I understand the custom, but some traditions sometimes need to be changed. I wanted to come with an overview, with some tangible results,” said Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu on the TV8 show “Cutia Neagră” (The Black Box).
The prime minister responded to criticism that he had not been very visible online, emphasizing that the authorities have reacted quickly and effectively in every critical situation and have focused on concrete actions instead of making the publication of video materials on social networks a priority.
Alexandru Munteanu said that the main task in the first months of his mandate had been the creation and consolidation of the team, which is making coordinated efforts to achieve the results expected by citizens.
“We are making efforts to do things as well as possible, as rationally as possible, as efficiently as possible. I understand, as a manager, as someone who has managed many projects, that this is not a sprint, it is a marathon, and I have to distribute my efforts. Of course, my biggest challenge was creation of the team, and I think I have succeeded in building a good team. From now on, we will need to find the most efficient ways for the results of our activities to become visible. We certainly have long-term strategies,” the prime minister emphasized.
The PM underlined that the cabinet had clearly defined tasks, and the pace of implementing reforms must remain accelerated.
“We have tasks for all ministries and each ministry must fulfill them. There is a roadmap for European integration. For the time being, we are moving in line with what we planned, but we must maintain the same accelerated pace going forward,” said Alexandru Munteanu.
The cabinet of ministers led by Alexandru Munteanu received the parliament’s vote of confidence on 31 October 2025.
