New head of democrats' party parliamentary faction elected in Moldova
Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – Dumitru Diacov is the new head of parliamentary faction of Democrats' party (PDM). The announcement has been made at beginning of parliamentary meeting on Friday, 19 July, by democrat MP, Sergiu Sarbu.
According to Sârbu, the decision was taken at the faction meeting after resignation of its former leader, Pavel Filip.
Also, PDM has decided that deputy head of the faction will be Vladimir Cebotari.
Pavel Filip announced on Thursday evening, 19 July, on his decision to resign as head of PDM parliamentary faction. Filip reasoned his decision by the fact that "sometimes you need to know how to retire, reflect on the state of things so that you can then make decisions that would benefit your team."
The parliamentary faction of PDM consists of 30 MPs.
