Public Services Agency urges citizens to check identity documents
In the context of the parliamentary elections on 28 September 2025, the Public Services Agency (PSA) urges all citizens of the Republic of Moldova to verify the validity of their identity documents in advance, to be able to exercise their right to vote without impediments.
According to the provisions of Art. 78 (6) of the Electoral Code, voting is conducted based on one of the following documents: the identity card of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova; the provisional identity card; the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Moldova, including with the expired validity term, as long as no other situations of invalidity provided by law have intervened.
"Citizens who need new documents can address the territorial subdivisions of ASP. Those abroad can submit applications to the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova. In countries where there is no MDOC, applications can be submitted to any diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Moldova," ASP said.
ASP reminds that detailed information about the issuance of identity documents, deadlines, fees, working hours, and addresses of the subdivisions can be consulted on the official website www.asp.gov.md.
