Government updated list of national and local roads
The government is improving the administration of the network of national and local roads of district interest. In this regard, the update of the lists of national and local roads in the Republic of Moldova has been approved.
The decision aims to clarify the names, classifications, and positioning of certain road sections that were previously not clearly attributed to an authority or had incorrect names, which made their maintenance difficult.
Following the changes, R15.2 M5 – R16 connection road will be included in the national network and can be repaired and maintained by the National Road Administration. At the same time, the regional road G104 Ialoveni–Costești–Molești–Răzeni–M3 will also include the local road L494 R3, which provides access to the city of Ialoveni, and will be named R3 – Ialoveni – Costești – Molești – Răzeni – M3.
Additionally, the G141 Vulcănești – Colibași – R34 road will be renamed M3 – Vulcănești – Colibași – R34, to ensure a direct link with the M3 express road once the bypass road of the city of Vulcănești is completed. Furthermore, a local road of district interest L487.1 G110 – Troița Nouă – L487 will be created at Troița Nouă, which includes the segment within the village of Troița Nouă and is part of the construction of the bypass road of the village, integrated into the R30 road route.
Through these adjustments, road sectors will officially come under the responsibility of some local public authorities, ensuring regular maintenance and repairs, as well as strengthening the state's capacity to efficiently manage road infrastructure for the benefit of citizens.
