National Army of the Republic of Moldova is celebrating 34 years since establishment. On this occasion, Minister of Defense Anatol Nosatîi conveyed a congratulatory message to soldiers and civilian employees.
“Dear soldiers, civilian employees, esteemed colleagues, today we mark the National Army Day. A day dedicated to those who wear the military uniform with dignity and to those who, over the years, have contributed to the strengthening of national defense. I wholeheartedly congratulate you on behalf of myself and the Ministry of Defense, and I thank you for all that you do for the Republic of Moldova, maintaining peace and the safety of citizens,” he said.
Nosatîi mentioned that the military institution has seen significant development in recent years.
“The National Army is today a modern institution, with good conditions for work, accommodation, training, real investments in infrastructure, new equipment, and more social benefits for soldiers. The progress was possible thanks to the support of the country's leadership, our external partners, and the involvement of each one of you. And we are not stopping here; we have much more to achieve.”
The minister emphasized the role of people in the strength of the army.
“A strong army begins with its people. They are the foundation upon which performance, security, and confidence in a secure future are built. Thank you for your professionalism, responsibility, and the way you fulfill your mission, at home and abroad. Thanks also to your families for patience, understanding, and support.”
He also paid tribute to those who founded the institution.
“Deep respect to those who laid the foundation of the National Army. I know it was not easy, but you succeeded, and today the fruits of your labor are visible.”
Events dedicated to the anniversary of the National Army will take place in Chisinau and military units across the country.
