Judges’ Evaluation Commission adjusts structure of Panel E following appointment of new international member
The Judges’ Evaluation Commission has approved an adjustment to the structure of Panel E following the appointment of the new international member, Aida-Oana Popescu.
According to the decision, within Panel E, member Willem Brouwer has been replaced by Aida-Oana Popescu, following the update of the commission’s internal structure.
Previously, it had been established that Willem Brouwer would serve in Panel E until the appointment of the last international member by Parliament, after which he would continue his activity in Panel G as its chair.
The Commission will inform all parties involved in the cases assigned to Panel E about the changes made, in accordance with standard procedures. The work on cases under examination in Panels E, F, and G is currently at the stage of collecting and analyzing relevant information.
In total, the nine members of the Judges’ Evaluation Commission are organized into seven panels (A, B, C, D, E, F, and G), responsible for evaluating subjects in accordance with Law No. 252/2023. Each panel is headed by a chair, who presides over public hearing sessions.
