Romanian head of state on first official visit to Chișinău
President of Romania Nicușor Dan is paying an official visit to the Republic of Moldova today at the invitation of President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.
The leader from Cotroceni will be received at 13:40 at the Presidency, where he will have bilateral discussions with Maia Sandu.
According to the official program, Nicușor Dan will also have meetings with speaker Igor Grosu, as well as with Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
Furthermore, Nicușor Dan will lay flowers at the monument of Ștefan cel Mare, a symbol of the historical connection between the two states.
During the visit, the President of Romania will also have a meeting with the Olympic students of the Republic of Moldova.
The Romanian head of state will participate alongside Maia Sandu at the event "The Common European Future of Romania and the Republic of Moldova," organized at the Organ Hall in Chișinău.
In this context, some traffic restrictions will be applied in the capital, especially in the city center and on the routes connecting with Chișinău International Airport.
