
10th edition of Diaspora Congress to be organized on August 18-20
Chisinau, March 24 /MOLDPRES/- The 10th edition of the Diaspora Congress will take place on August 18-20. A decision to this end was approved at a meeting of the organizing committee of Diaspora Days and Diaspora Congress 2023.
According to the State Chancellery, the committee members discussed the involvement of state institutions in the organization process, as well as the procedure for consulting the diaspora's opinion regarding the identification of topics necessary to be included in the event's agenda.
State Secretary of the State Chancellery Adrian Bălutel said that this year, in addition to the Diaspora Congress, a lot of events will be organized during the Diaspora Days, including the Diaspora*Origin*Return DOR Program and the Diaspora Business Forum.
The Diaspora Congress takes place once every two years, as part of the Diaspora Days, organized annually, and represents the necessary platform for multilateral discussions between the Government and the diaspora regarding policies for the diaspora, the impact of migration on the economic, social, academic and political processes in the country.
The 9th edition of the Diaspora Congress was held in 2021.
