Air Moldova airship flies back to airport because of flaw in windscreen
Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - An Air Moldova aircraft Chisinau-Verona has flown back to the airport, after a flaw in the windscreen was discovered. The incident took place on 11 January evening.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the spokesman for the state air company Air Moldova, Dumitru Niculaita, has said that, during the flight, the pilots noticed the flaw and took the decision to return to the Chisinau International Airport.
‘’The airship flew back safely and there were no problems during the flight. Following the landing, the passengers were enplaned into another airship and left for Verona,’’ Niculaita said.
An inquiry was initiated in this case.
The Air Moldova state air company is leader on the local market of air transports and is one of the most renowned Moldovan brands. The company recorded a growth of the traffic of 20 per cent in 2017 against 2016 and carried more than one million 130,000 passengers. Air Moldova makes direct flights to 30 destinations from Europe and Asia.
