Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/- All routes in the country are passable, and some parts of the road are icy. The head of the State Road Administration's Operational Service, Sergiu Capatina, made the statement today.
During the night, the workers carried out patrol, snow-removal and anti slide works. “In all, 42 special vehicles and 70 workers were trained in. They used over 200 tons of anti-skid material. At present, all dangerous sectors are constantly monitored by road managers and, where necessary, intervenes," he said.
Patrol inspectors recommend drivers to increase the distance between cars, avoid dangerous maneuvers, check the condition of the brakes and equip the vehicle with winter tires.
In the following days, the weather remains cold. At night, the air temperature will reach -14 degrees in the north and +3 degrees during the day in the south. Snowfall is expected throughout the country.
