ARBOM: Young people in Albota de Jos get digital space for active civic engagement
Young people from the village of Albota de Jos in Taraclia district will have a space equipped with digital tools to develop their capacity for more active involvement in community life.
This has become possible thanks to the project Albota de Jos Youth Circle: Digital Tools for an Effective Student Council, implemented by the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community of Moldova (ARBOM), in partnership with Vasil Levski Youth Center in Taraclia.
The Youth Circle will be set up in a classroom of the local gymnasium and is intended primarily for members of the Student Council. However, it will be accessible to all young people in the village, including for trainings in various fields, organized in partnership with Vasil Levski Youth Center in Taraclia.
“In the specially arranged space at the gymnasium, equipped with the necessary technology, young people will be able to gather to communicate, learn, and spend their free time in a useful way,” said ARBOM director Alexandr Borimecicov.
The project, with a budget of almost 55,000 lei, is part of Civic LAB 2.0 civic initiative, implemented by the National Youth Agency.
With the financial support obtained, the following essential equipment will be purchased for the new Youth Circle:
• a laptop to be used for project development, preparing presentations, and online communication;
• a multifunction printer for producing informational materials;
• an audio system for organizing school events and other activities.
The Civic LAB 2.0 program supports projects developed by young people for young people, aiming to increase civic participation and strengthen social cohesion in communities across the Republic of Moldova.
