As many as 1,916 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,457 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,916 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 8 import ones. As many as 208,928 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 76 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians - 21, medical assistants –30 and auxiliary staff -25.
As many as 4,449 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 337 are in extremely serious condition (71 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 10,573 persons are treated at home with easy and moderate forms of coronavirus and 19,833 are under supervision at home.
Another 1,345 people have been treated. As many as 182,108 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 34 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 4,436 people have died of coronavirus in all.
