Moldovan PM to attend 81st session of United Nations General Assembly
Prime Minister Vasile Tofan will pay a working visit to New York on September 23-26, where he will attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The visit’s agenda includes bilateral meetings with heads of government, discussions with representatives of the United States business community, as well as a meeting with Moldovan citizens residing in the United States.
During the discussions, the PM will focus on strengthening economic and investment relations, attracting American investments and promoting the opportunities provided by Moldova. The discussions will also address the country’s European path and security developments in the region.
The Moldovan prime minister will deliver a speech at the plenary session of the UN General Assembly. The speech can be watched live on the Government’s official Facebook page on September 26, as of 17:00 till 18:00, Moldova time.
The UN General Assembly is the most important international forum, with the main theme, “Restoring trust, managing transformation: a United Nations that delivers for all.”
