As many as 224 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 5,936 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 224 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 253,173 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), four out of all infection cases are medical employees: physicians – 3, medical assistants – 1.
As many as 1,388 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 171 are in extremely serious condition (22 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 1,471 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 14,173 are under supervision at home.
Another 196 people have been treated. As many as 244,073 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 11 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 5,981 people have died of coronavirus in all.
