As many as 252 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours
Chisinau, 19 October /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,226 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 252 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import cases. As many as 67,302 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 14 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 7, medical assistants –5, auxiliary staff employees – 2.
The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 851 are in serious condition, of whom 44 patients are connected to assisted breathing. At the same time, 1,448 patients are in medium seriousness condition and the other patients are in satisfactory condition.
Another 651 people were treated and discharged today. As many as 48,493 persons have been healed of COVID-19 in all.
In the context, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,601 people dead of coronavirus in all. Among the dead people, there is a 59-year-old physician from the Edinet district hospital. So far, 44 medical employees have died because of COVID-19.
