
As many as 568 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova last week
Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 568 cases of COVID-19 were registered in Moldova on 16-22 October.
According to the National Public Health Agency (ANSP), 9.2 per cent of all Covid-19 cases were recorded in children. As many as 11,685 tests were made on this period and eight cases of death of infection with COVID-19 were registered.
ANSP specialists recommend the observance of the principal protection measures for the citizens’ health and safety. Among them, there are the keeping of the social distance, avoidance of crowded places, observance of the rules of hands’ hygiene, respiratory hygiene; observance of the sanitary measures at the working place, with the airing of the closed spaces; wearing masks in the medical institutions and appealing to the family physician upon the appearance of the first symptoms of infection with COVID-19.
Physicians reiterate that the vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 stays the most efficient way of avoiding the serious cases of disease and death.
