City day to be modestly celebrated in Moldovan capital
Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- On the occasion of Chisinau Day, October 14, the employees of the municipal enterprises will receive an extra salary.
Mayor Ion Ceban announced at today's online meeting of the municipal services that he will grant an additional salary to the employees of the municipal enterprises. "I decided to do this because all these employees worked in a difficult year - a year of pandemic. But all of them, from trolleybus drivers, to green space employees or teachers, made it possible for the city to function. I consider that the patron saint of Chisinau should enjoy all the inhabitants, including those who take care of the functioning of the municipality ", he said.
At the same time, all the large-scale actions scheduled to take place on the occasion of this holiday have been postponed. "We see an increase in the number of cases of COVID-19, the postponement of large-scale events was a correct measure in combating the pandemic," he said.
He added that the municipality is examining the possibility of offering free access to the population in the Zoo and Dendrariu Park on City Day.
