Constantin Țuțu on international wanted list

Former Democratic MP Constantin Țuțu has been issued an international search warrant. The information was presented by Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin, who stated that for the moment, this is the only information that can be officially communicated.

During a court hearing on 16 September in the case of Constantin Țuțu concerning illicit enrichment, prosecutor Elena Cazacov announced that Țuțu had left Greece and is currently in the Transnistrian region. She said that a request for his search warrant and preventive arrest has been made.

Information about the alleged presence of the former legislator in the territory on the left bank of the Dniester River also appears in a note sent to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office by the National Investigation Inspectorate.

Previously, the head of the National Police, Viorel Cernăuțeanu, announced that Țuțu had a ban on leaving Greece. At the same time, the Border Police has not officially recorded the former Democrat's entry into the Republic of Moldova.

Constantin Țuțu was detained on July 22 at Athens airport, together with former PDM leader Vladimir Plahotniuc.
