For first time, USMF 'Nicolae Testemițanu' participated in International Conference of European Association for International Education

The State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) 'Nicolae Testemițanu', along with three other universities from our country, participated for the first time in the International Conference of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), 35th edition, held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Universities from our country were presented under Romania stand (Study in Romania), organized by the National Council of Rectors in Romania (CNR) in collaboration with the Council of Rectors from the Republic of Moldova (CRRM). This initiative belongs to the National ERASMUS+ Office in Moldova and shows the shared commitment to integrating higher education into the European sphere.

Head of the university's Department of External Relations and European Integration Evelina Gherghelegiu said that the current edition of the conference, GO-Create, aimed to expand interinstitutional collaboration to respond to challenges in the international education system and provide quality education.

'Through such practices, we can build a common vision for the internationalization of higher education, based on partnerships, exchange of ideas and sustainable development,' Gherghelegiu said.

The EAIE conference gathered over 7,000 participants worldwide, and the joint stand Romania - Republic of Moldova, with 37 higher education institutions from Romania and four universities from the Republic of Moldova, was one of the most visible, attractive, and animated among the 106 stands. The event also included an educational fair, where higher education institutions presented their educational offers. Additionally, 35 European university alliances were also present.

The EAIE conference annually brings together thousands of participants from over 80 countries, representing universities, government agencies, international organizations and companies in the education sector.
