Construction works of Chisinau-Străseni-Călărași main aqueduct to be of public utility
Chisinau, Nov. 15 /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law on declaration of public utility of national interest for the construction works of Chisinau-Străseni-Călărași main aqueduct were published in the Official Journal.
The main pipeline for water transport has a length of about 53 km and will ensure the supply of drinking water to around 28 thousand inhabitants of the Străseni and Călăraşi districts. There are 192 parcels of land along the route, including 103 privately owned.
The new law provides for a special expropriation procedure aimed at preventing the postponement of the construction works of this strategic infrastructure objective. The document provides for the application of the concept of provisional registration of the right of public ownership, of the right of use or, as the case may be, of other real rights of the state over the goods, acquired under a suspensive condition regarding the payment of compensation to the expropriated.
The project Improving the water infrastructure in Central Moldova is financed by the German Government through the state bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau ("KfW") and the National Fund for Regional and Local Development of the Republic of Moldova. The total value of the project is 25 million euros, including our country's contribution of 2.65 million euros. The implementation deadline is October 30, 2025.
This law enters into force upon publication in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
