Searches at Botanica Police Inspectorate from Chisinau: more employees targeted in corruption case
More employees of the Botanica Police Inspectorate from Chisinau are being investigated in a corruption case. The Internal Inspection Directorate of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), along with the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), carried out searches at the police inspectorate on April 21.
According to the IGP, during the actions undertaken, prohibited items were also seized, which are to be subjected to expert examination.
“IGP firmly condemns any illegal action committed by its employees and reaffirms its zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. The institution will continue to cooperate with the competent authorities, in order to prevent and combat such acts,” the institution said.
The criminal investigation is ongoing and possible disciplinary violations by the people concerned are also being examined.
