DOC // Capital residents to pay more for water and sewerage services as of today

As of today, Chișinău residents will pay more for water supply and sewerage services. The decision of the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) to approve the new tariffs for Apă-Canal Chișinău company was published in the Official Journal and has entered into force.

Thus, the tariff for drinking water supply in Chișinău increases from 12.99 lei/m³ to 14.03 lei/m³. At the same time, the tariff for sewerage services will be 6.63 lei/m³ for household consumers, while for non-household consumers it remains 10.16 lei/m³.

ANRE noted that the tariff adjustment was initiated at the operator’s request and was based on updated economic and financial indicators for 2026, including changes in electricity costs, the projected consumer price index, estimated volumes of water supplied, and adjustments to regulated revenues.

Also today, the Official Journal published ANRE decisions on new water supply and sewerage tariffs for operators in Ocnița, Căinari, and Iurceni.

The last change in water tariffs paid by the capital’s residents took place in March 2025, when they increased by 2.20 lei per cubic meter. Until now, the capital’s residents have paid a price of 12.99 lei for the drinking water consumed. This tariff is in addition to the price for sewerage services.
