Drone found in Crocmaz village contains explosive device
The drone found on Thursday morning in the garden of a house in the village of Crocmaz, Ștefan Vodă district, contains an explosive device.
According to the Police, given the imminent danger, specialists from the Police Technical-Explosive Division will carry out a controlled detonation on site.
At the moment, the level of danger is being assessed. The necessary actions are being taken to establish all the circumstances and to defuse the combat section of the aircraft, and all local residents are being evacuated from the area.
The actions are being carried out by the Police in cooperation with employees of the Prosecutor's Office, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, the Border Police, the National Army and the emergency service.
The authorities urge citizens to remain calm and to comply with all police instructions.
A drone approximately 2.5 meters long was detected on Thursday morning, at around 09:25, in the garden of an uninhabited house in the village of Crocmaz, Ștefan Vodă district. The object was reported by citizens, who alerted law enforcement.
