Five more pharmacies opened as part of Pharmacy in Your Village project
Residents of Negrea (Hâncești), Step-Soci (Orhei), Cirpești and Cania (Cantemir), as well as Grozești (Nisporeni) now have easier access to medicine.
According to the Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, the Pharmacy in Your Village project continues to bring services closer to citizens in rural areas. Since the beginning of the year, 10 pharmacies have already been opened.
Thus, about 8,000 residents of the villages now have direct access to compensated medicines, electronic prescriptions, and pharmaceutical consultancy without the need to travel many kilometers to the nearest city.
The opened pharmacies have all necessary medications, ensuring safe and affordable treatments for all patients, including the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.
In 2024, 50 pharmacies have been opened through the project, serving about 60,000 people.
The Pharmacy in Your Village project is implemented after the government approved a regulation according to which entrepreneurs who open pharmacies in villages without pharmaceutical assistance will receive a free license and monthly subsidies from 10,000 to 20,000 lei, depending on the income.
