Moldovan police officers to attend solemn assemblies dedicated to Last Bell

Police officers will take part in the solemn assemblies dedicated to the Last Bell, in order to ensure that they are held without incidents. Thus, law-enforcers will step up surveillance measures during the events held in institutions across Moldova.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the spokesperson of the National Inspectorate for Public Security (INSP), Ana Chiselita, stressed that, in order for the activities to take place without violations of public order, it is important to follow more measures.

“Patrol crews will monitor road traffic both on national and local routes, especially in the vicinity of educational institutions, in order to enhance traffic safety. Thus, we recommend that drivers reduce speed near educational institutions and in the area of pedestrian crossings. It is important that people park their vehicles only in specially designated areas and do not block access for other road users. Citizens are also advised to cross the street only at pedestrian crossings and only after making sure that drivers give them priority,” said Ana Chiselita.

Parents are likewise urged to constantly supervise minors and carefully monitor their activities.

“On the street, children must not talk to strangers, especially to those under the influence of alcohol. Adults must avoid smoking and consuming alcohol. In addition, participants in festive events must keep an eye on their personal belongings. If they witness a violation, citizens are urged to notify the nearest police officer or call the 112 Service,” added Ana Chiselita.

Festivities dedicated to the Last Bell are being held today in schools across the country. The duration of the event will be up to 45 minutes.
