
Minimally guaranteed monthly income to be indexed in Moldova on 1 April, 1 October
Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a decision, which provides for the indexation of the minimally guaranteed monthly income twice per year – on 1 April and 1 October, as well as the increase in the quantum of the minimally guaranteed monthly income calculated for each child from 50 per cent to 75 per cent.
Under the document, the coefficient of indexation established on 1 April represents the inflation rate registered in the last semester of the before the year of indexation and on 1 October – the inflation rate recorded in the first semester of the current year. The indexation of the minimally guaranteed income twice a year enters into force on 1 April 2021.
The quantum of the minimally guaranteed monthly income calculated for each child will be increased from 50 per cent to 75 per cent, which represents a growth by 276.75 lei for one child for the evaluation and calculation of the right to social benefit and by 608.85 lei for assessing the right to benefit for the cold period of the year.
