Chisinau, May 5 /MOLDPRES/- The National Health Insurance Company announced that it has allocated over 879 thousand lei (about 44 thousand euros) from the prevention measures fund for the procurement of the first batch of 7,000 rabies vaccine doses for this year.
Over 23 thousand lei were directed towards the purchase of 37 rabies immunoglobulin doses.
They were shipped to the national vaccine warehouse of the National Agency for Public Health.
According to specialists, rabies serum is indicated for the prevention of rabies in children and adults, used before and after exposure to the rabies virus, as primary immunization.
