The procedure takes place based on international readmission mechanisms, and the authorities of Moldova have provided the necessary support for authorizing the overflight and landing of the aircraft at the Chisinau International Airport.
“The MAE confirms that it has been informed by the Embassy of Moldova in Warsaw about the organization by Polish authorities of a charter flight for the repatriation of Moldovan citizens who illegally reside in Poland. The Ministry will continue to cooperate with Polish authorities, in order to handle these cases in accordance with international regulations,” the institution specified.
As for this case, government spokesperson Daniel Voda emphasized the importance of the observance by citizens of the laws of the countries of stay.
“Wherever we are, it is essential to observe the laws of the host country. The overwhelming majority of Moldovans already do this – they are people of integrity who work, study, invest and behave with respect,” said Daniel Voda.
According to the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a similar operation took place in last April.
