Spokesman for Moldovan government says cabinet invests, continues working for citizens, while some people bustle
The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, responded in the context of today's protest staged outside the government building. He said that the action had been orchestrated, with ‘’slogans prepared in advance and messages fabricated beyond our country's borders’’ by ‘’those who do not want Moldova to continue on the European path.’’ The official assured that, despite such actions, the authorities would continue to build and work for the benefit of the citizens.
According to Daniel Voda, the protest held during the today's cabinet meeting ‘’is not a spontaneous manifestation, but a periodically repeated play by those who do not want Moldova to continue on the European path.’’
He warned that ‘’it is the season of political protests,’’ when ‘’all kinds of accusations’’ are made, and the government would respond to them with calm and respect for the citizens.
'While some people bustle, the government invests and continues working for citizens. I warned from this podium that this is the season of political protests, when different groups, with different agendas, will make all kinds of accusations. We will react with calm and respect for the citizens,’’ specified Daniel Voda.
The government’s spokesperson emphasized that the organizers of these actions, instead of seeking real solutions for people, ‘’only fuel mistrust, divide citizens, and use democracy to claim it doesn't exist.’’
‘’This is the paradox of orchestrated protests: when in a free protest in outside the government building, someone shouts that there is no democracy. So, we understand a lack of logic in these actions,’’ Daniel Voda opined.
The official added that the government responded to these actions not with scandal, but with actions, referring to ‘’record budgets approved, subsidies paid on time, pensions, salaries paid on time, European investments attracted into the economy.’’
'This is the government's response to these actions. We build while, while the others shout; the difference is clear, and Moldova is on the right path, advancing on the road of development and European integration. And no one, including those paid by the Kremlin, will divert us from this path,’’ concluded Daniel Voda.
A protest was organized outside the government building during the cabinet meeting today.
