The event brought together representatives of public administration, business, diplomacy, academic sector and international organizations, with the aim of developing the Moldova region and creating new cross-border partnerships.

Strategic Relations Romania – Moldova: Investments and European Integration

During the panel dedicated to economic integration and strategic relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, Ambassador Victor Chirila emphasized the importance of joint projects in infrastructure, energy interconnection and the continuous support provided by Romania in the process of joining the European Union.

“The bilateral relations with Romania represent a strategic anchor for Moldova’s development. We deeply appreciate the support of Romanian authorities in our modernization process, in infrastructure, energy, digitalization and combating disinformation. Moldova is becoming an increasingly attractive market for investors, and the Romanian business environment now has the opportunity to directly benefit from this friendly context, generated by our status as an EU candidate country,” said Victor Chirila.

The diplomat invited Romanian entrepreneurs and investors to take advantage of the new opportunities generated by Moldova's rapprochement with the European community area.

Forum – Platform for Regional Development

With the subject, From Regional Development to National Prosperity, FERM 2025 brought together delegations from Moldova and Romania, including specialists in investment, infrastructure, energy, health, tourism and culture.

The event was organized by the Center for Regional Development Analysis and Planning in Romania, in collaboration with the Suceava County Council and other regional partners.

In Vatra Dornei, participants addressed strategic themes regarding the economic growth of the region, investments in tourism, the development of cross-border infrastructure, digitalization and innovation, as well as the strengthening of economic relations between the two banks of the Prut River.

One of the main panels was dedicated to the development of tourism in the Moldova region, with a focus on cultural, historical, ecumenical tourism, ecotourism, and digitalization. The event also included the screening of the artistic film, The Sun of Moldova, a production about the childhood of Ruler Stephen the Great, directed by Claudia Stravositu and Adi Codoi.
