Moldovan deputy PM meets diplomats in Brussels

I am grateful to all our diplomats working in Brussels. Through their daily and dedicated work, they contribute to bringing Moldova closer to Europe and strengthening our place in the European family. Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi has conveyed a message to this effect, after a discussion with Moldovan diplomats working in Brussels.

The official emphasized that the team of Moldova’s Mission to the European Union, led by Ambassador Daniela Morari, was directly involved in all processes concerning the country's European integration.

“Diplomats negotiate, prepare complex files and maintain constant dialogue with European institutions and EU member states, so that Moldova is heard and supported in Brussels. Here, colleagues from the Embassy of Moldova in the Kingdom of Belgium, along with Ambassador Viorel Cibotaru, work to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Belgium, solidify our relationship with NATO, and promptly respond to the needs of Moldovan citizens residing in this country. Thank you all for your professionalism and for the way you represent Moldova day by day. You are an essential part of our way towards a secure and prosperous Europe,” said Mihai Popsoi.

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi paid a working visit to Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium, on July 14-15, this year. The Moldovan diplomacy head held discussions with the foreign ministers of EU member states during the European Union's Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

The official referred to Moldova's EU accession agenda, the security context in the region, new opportunities for cooperation with the EU on security and strengthening resilience against hybrid threats.
