Students from Moldova win one silver, three bronze medals at International Chemistry Olympiad
Students from Moldova have won one silver medal and three bronze medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Thus, the silver medalist is Bianca-Sofia Leahu, a student at the Orizont Theoretical Lyceum from Durlesti, Chisinau municipality.
At the same time, the bronze medals went to Oana Furculița, a student at the Orizont Theoretical Lyceum from Durlesti; Stepan Andrei, a student at the N. V. Gogol Theoretical Lyceum from Chisinau and Crina Mogorean, a student at the Mihai Viteazul Theoretical Lyceum from Chisinau.
The International Chemistry Olympiad, now at its 57th edition, took place in Dubai on July 5-14, 2025. The competition was attended by 354 students from 90 countries. Moldova was represented by four students and two teachers.
