Moldova to implement 48 new external assistance projects
The Republic of Moldova will implement 48 new external assistance projects. To facilitate their faster and more efficient execution, the Government today approved a decision to facilitate the import of goods and services necessary for the initiatives.
Secretary-General of the Government Alexei Buzu stated at the cabinet meeting that the 48 new external assistance projects will directly contribute to improving social services for citizens, facilitating access to medical services, economic development, digitalization, and job creation.
“Today we propose an initiative based on a very clear goal: improving the quality of life for our citizens. We are launching 48 new external assistance projects that will directly improve social services for citizens, provide better access to medical services, economic development, digitalization, and job creation. To implement these projects more rapidly and efficiently, we propose facilitating the import of necessary goods and services by exempting certain taxes and duties,” said Alexei Buzu.
According to the document approved by the Government, one of the projects to be implemented concerns energy efficiency in educational infrastructure.
“We will renovate 15 educational institutions so that schools are warmer in winter and bills are lower. These projects will benefit over 14,200 students,” he said.
Another initiative focuses on modernizing the Health Center in Anenii Noi and equipping it with new equipment so that citizens receive the highest quality medical services.
According to the project's information note, it will have a positive social impact by contributing to the sustainable development of the Republic of Moldova through investment promotion, reducing inequalities, and improving the living conditions for citizens.
