Moldovan government earmarks money for allowances for descendants of medical employees dead of COVID-19
Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - The acting government, at a today’s meeting, approved the allocation of financial means for providing the one-off allowance in case of the staff dead of COVID-19.
„As much as 2.2 million lei is earmarked from the government’s reserve fund to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry for the providing of the one-off allowance in the case of the employees of the medical and sanitary institutions, who died in the fight against COVID-19,’’ the cabinet decision reads.
The draft was elaborated to support the families of the staff of the medical and sanitary institutions of primary medical assistance, specialized ambulatory assistance, hospital medical assistance, pre-hospital emergency medical assistance, highly-advanced medical services, who died while fighting the COVID-19.
The money will be directed to pay 22 one-off allowances meant for the descendants of the personnel who died in the fight against COVID-19.
The control over the enforcement of this decision is entrusted with the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the decision will enter into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal.
