Moldovan militaries donate blood for Bucharest fire victims
Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/- A blood donation campaign is held in more institutions and units of the Moldovan Defence Ministry on 3-4 November, to support the victims of the fire in a Bucharest-based night club.
The head of the Defence Ministry’s public relations department, Diana Gradinaru, said 40 contract militaries and 150 students of the Armed Forces Military Academy made voluntary blood donations today.
Another 200 servicemen of the Stefan cel Mare motorised infantry brigade donated blood within a mobile centre, on the territory of their military unit.
Gradinaru said the campaign would continue on 4 November as well. People willing to make blood donations are invited to come at the Advisory Diagnostic Centre.
Acting Defence Minister Anatol Salaru made an announcement about the blood donation campaign on a social network, noting that “a friend in need is a friend indeed”.” Moldovan militaries are sympathizing with our brothers, who are grieving the death of the victims in the tragic night club fire in Bucharest. On behalf of the Moldovan army and on my behalf, I conveyed condolences to Bucharest authorities,” Salaru said.
