Moldovan PM conveys message to all families on International Day of Families
Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu today conveyed a congratulatory message to all families on the occasion of the International Day of Families. “May you have near you the people who make your life calmer, warmer and more beautiful,” said the prime minister. The PM’s message was accompanied by a photograph of his family.
Alexandru Munteanu said that family begins with the little things.
“I believe that family begins with the little things. With the question ‘Have you arrived home?’, with the meals where almost always someone is missing, and with the photos we take too often, but value too late. And, of course, with the eternal discussion about who left the light on again – even though no one ever admits it,” said the prime minister.
The PM stressed the importance of having close to us the people who make our lives calmer, warmer and more beautiful.
“On the International Day of Families, I wish you to have near you the people who make your life calmer, warmer and more beautiful. Happy Family Day to all,” concluded Alexandru Munteanu.
The International Day of Families was established by the UN General Assembly on 20 September 1993 and represents an opportunity to raise awareness of the social, economic, and demographic processes that affect families. Moldova has been marking the International Day of Families since 2010.
On the occasion of the International Day of Families, Labour and Social Protection Ministry is inviting families from all over the country to a wide-ranging programme of activities as part of the Family Festival, organized at the Botanical Garden of Chisinau on May 16.
