
Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in military sector discussed in Bucharest
Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - Subjects on the current stage of the cooperation in the military sector, the architecture of regional security and the support provided by Romania for the transformation of Moldova’s defence institution, in line with the standards of a democratic governance, were discussed at a discussion between Moldovan Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii and his Romanian counterpart Vasile Dincu in Bucharest today.
The Moldovan defence minister thanked the Romanian official for the assistance provided by Romania for the modernization of the National Army, as well as for backing Moldova in its European integration. Nosatii referred also to the significant contribution of Romanian partners for the carrying out of the Defence Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI) and other joint programmes, development of the military education, as well as opportunities of training the strength of the National Army in competent institutions from Romania.
Romanian Defence Minister Vasile Dincu said that ‘’Romania firmly expresses willingness and interest in the development of the cooperation with Moldova’s National Army, for the mutual benefit and in order to back its efforts as to the modernization, enhancing the operational capacity and the level of inter-operability.’’
Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii is on a 7-8 June official visit to Romania, at an invitation by his Romanian counterpart Vasile Dincu.
