Starting 30 June, new vehicle registration certificate model to be set up in Moldova
Starting June 30, a new model of vehicle registration certificate will be set up in the Republic of Moldova. A decision to this effect was approved today by the Government.
Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin stated that the new certificate is designed with advanced technical and security standards, making it much more difficult to counterfeit or forge, which means increased protection for car owners.
The certificate complies with European standards, so people will travel more easily abroad, and authorities from other countries will be able to check the data of vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova more quickly.
According to the Public Services Agency, the new registration certificate model, in addition to information on the year of manufacture, will also include information about the date of the vehicle's first registration.
All registration certificates issued before the new regulations come into force will remain valid until their expiration.
