Moldovan Education Ministry warns parents about misinformation regarding taking of 1,000-lei assistance
Pupils’ parents are advised not to respond to messages suggesting that they open a new bank account to receive the 1,000-lei financial aid provided by the state for pupils. Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun today made a warning to this end.
According to the official, the information promoted in some educational institutions is misinformation. The money can be collected from any post office or transferred to any existing bank card, regardless of the financial institution.
"There is no need to open new accounts and it is not mandatory to choose a specific bank," Perciun specified.
The education minister informed that he would investigate the source of this false information and urges parents to report to authorities, if they receive such messages.
The 1,000-lei aid meant for pupils at the beginning of the school year will be available starting from September 4. About 297,000 children will benefit from this assistance. The money can be received on parents’ bank card or at post offices.
