A festive concert dedicated to the Independence Day of Moldova will be organized on the Great National Assembly Square on August 27, starting from 18:00.
“We invite you to come along with the family and friends, in order to celebrate this important day through music, emotions and performances by beloved local artists. Let's sing, dance and celebrate together the Independence that unites us!”, the organizers said.
Details about the event and the artistic programme can be followed on the Facebook page dedicated to the event.
The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, has earlier said that the Independence Day would also be celebrated through activities held in the villages and cities of Moldova.
“We know that preparations are in full swing in the villages and cities of the country, where we will celebrate the Independence Day, a day full of significance in which we mark the power of our freedom, our democracy, but most importantly, our sovereignty and the thought that this day unites us all, regardless of the region where we live, the language we speak or other aspects,” Daniel Voda noted.
On August 27, the Republic of Moldova marks the 34th anniversary of the proclamation of its Independence, voted by the parliament on August 27, 1991.
