More individuals, including leader of Revival party, taken to police allegedly attempting to block motorcade of European officials expected in Chisinau
More individuals, including a leader of the Revival party, affiliated with Ilan Shor, today were taken to the Police Inspectorate after allegedly attempting to block the motorcade of European officials expected in Chișinău on Independence Day.
The information was confirmed for MOLDPRES by the press officer of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), Oxana Toderita.
At the same time, more citizens, including public officials and journalists, received messages in which they were threatened with death. Law enforcers describe the actions ‘’as an attempt to compromise the events organized for the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova and to intimidate the citizens.’’
In this context, the IGP urged the population to report to law enforcement, if they receive such messages.
‘’We urge the population to ignore these types of messages and to report to the police, if they receive such messages. Investigation officers already have various information in this regard and are taking measures to identify and locate the involved individuals,’’ said the IGP.
In case of reports, citizens can call the 112 Service.
