Students from Moldova won four bronze medals at Balkan Mathematical Olympiad

Chisinau, June 28. /MOLDPRES/- The Olympic team of the Republic of Moldova won four bronze medals at the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, held in Tirana, Albania, on June 23-28.

Vladislav Smochină and Daniel Purice, students of the "Orizont" Theoretical High School in Chisinau, Andrei Tanas, a student at the "Mihai Viteazul" High School in the capital, and David Poleacov, a student of the "Da Vinci" High School in Chisinau won bronze medals.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), 105 students from 18 countries participated in the 27th edition of the Junior Balkan Mathematical Olympiad. The Republic of Moldova was represented by six students and two teachers.
