Twenty three traffic accidents with hitting pedestrians take place in Moldova last week
Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 23 traffic accidents with hitting pedestrians took place last week, in the wake of which five people died and 19 were injured.
According to the National Public Security Inspectorate (INSP), the main reason for the accidents represented the lack of attention in traffic both on behalf of pedestrians and of drivers.
Thus, INSP reminds drivers to decrease the speed nearby pedestrians’ zones; not to driver if they are tired or have drowsiness, not to speak by phone.
According to the quoted source, in the last week, about 500 pedestrians were sanctioned for crossing the road contrary to the regulations., Also, 460 drivers were documented for non-ceding the legal crossing to pedestrians.
