Two new trolleybus routes to be opened in Chisinau
Chisinau, 4 September /MOLDPRES/- From 10 September, the public transport network in Chisinau will be extended with two new trolley routes, one of which will link Stauceni village.
According to the city hall, the trolleybus route no32 will go to Stauceni on the following route: str. 31 August 1989 – str. Al. Puşkin – str. Constantin Tănase – bd. Grigore Vieru – bd. Renaşterii Naţionale – Calea Orheiului, str. Păcii, str. Grătieşti, str. Constructorilor, str. Vasile Alecsandri, str. Dumitru Matcovschi.
The retour will include the following streets: Dumitru Matcovschi, Ion Creangă, Constructorilor, Grătieşti, Păcii, Calea Orheiului, bd. Renaşterii Naţionale, bd. Grigore Vieru, Constantin Tănase, Mitropolit G. Bănulescu-Bodoni, 31 August 1989.
Trolleybus route no33 will run on the following itinerary: Mirceşti, Petricani, Mihai Viteazul, Columna, Henri Coandă, Calea Ieşilor. Retour: Calea Ieşilor, bd. Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfânt, Mihai Viteazul, Petricani, Balcani, Mirceşti.
Trolleybus route no32 32 will be served by three transport units, and two transport units will run on route no33.
At present, the Municipal Enterprise "Regia Transport Electric Chisinau" owns 360 trolleybuses, of which 222 are of a new type.
