Serghei Cleșcenco new coach of Moldova's national football team
Chisinau, 3 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Executive Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) today approved by unanimous vote, the nomination of coach Serghei Clescenco as coach of the Moldova’s national football team.
Serghei Clescenco was born in Criuleni on 20 May 1972. He played in the Zimbru Chisinau team, in more football teams from Russia.
The new coach was five times champion of Moldova, the best player of Moldova, the best Moldovan attacker of the year, the best goal getter of the national championship, holder of Russia’s Cup, champion of Israel, holder of the Cup of the League of Israel, all-time goal getter of Moldova’s national team (11 goals).
So far, the national football team of Moldova has been trained by 14 coaches: Ion Caras, Evgheni Piunovschi, Alexandru Mațiura, Alexandru Spiridon, Anatol Teslev, Alexandru Curteian (all from Moldova), Ivan Danilianț (Austria), Viktor Pasulko (Germany), Gabi Balint (Romania), Ștefan Stoica (Romania), Igor Dobrovolski (Russia), Semen Altman (Ucraina), Engin Firat (Germany) and Roberto Bordin (Italy).
The debut of Serghei Clescenco as coach of the Moldovan national football team will take place on 24 March 2022 against the national team of Kazakhstan, in a play-out match of the Nations League, scheduled to be held at the Zimbru stadium from Chisinau.
