Socialists, communists from Gagauz People's Assembly demand resignation of local parliament's speaker
Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - The today’s meeting of the People’s Assembly (APG, local parliament) of the Autonomous Territorial Unit Gagauz-Yeri started with a statement by a representative of the Bloc of Socialists and Communists, Elena Iurcenco, who demanded that speaker Dmitri Constantinov resigns from office, according to Gagauzinfo.
The local lawmaker asked the speaker to leave this position, as he dishonored the latter. Iurcenco says that she studied the new composition of the executive body proposed by bashkan Evghenia Gutul and thinks that Constantinov reached an agreement with Ilan Shor.
The APG MPs today convened at a meeting, in order to approve the nominal composition of the autonomy’s executive body. Yet, speaker Constantinov demanded that the consideration of this subject is postponed, as the updated list was submitted late in the evening and was not examined in commissions.
