Eurovision 2026 National Selection in Moldova: 34 songs qualify for live auditions

A total of 34 songs have been selected for the live auditions stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 National Selection, following the conclusion of the submission period for the national preselection. The Teleradio-Moldova company (TRM) at this stage received the files of artists interested in representing Moldova at the prestigious international competition.

According to TRM, following the preliminary evaluation of the submitted materials, the music producers of the selection approved the list of 34 songs that will enter the live auditions round. It will take place on December 16, starting at 11:00, in studio 2 of the public television.

The national selection's music producer, Roman Burlaca, notes that the auditions represent a key moment of the competition.

This stage will allow producers to evaluate live the vocal qualities, interpretation, and charisma of each contestant, and based on the performances, the finalists of the Eurovision 2026 National Selection will be chosen.

For his part, music producer Serghei Orlov noted the high interest of artists for this edition.

Andrei Zapsa, deputy general director responsible for television at Teleradio-Moldova, says that the changes made to the format have been well received.

“I am delighted by the artists' interest in this competition. It means that the actions taken by the public television this year to improve the format have been perceived by the artistic community. I strongly believe that we have something to show Europe,” declared Andrei Zapșa.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will take place in Vienna, Austria, in May. The event will be held at the Wiener Stadthalle. The semifinals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, and the grand final will be held on May 16, 2026.
