Moldovan singer marks birthday anniversary

Chisinau, 19 August /MOLDPRES/ - A singer of light music and sentimental songs, Ludmila Misov, marks her 80th birthday anniversary today.

Ludmila Misov was born in in Chisinau in 1941. She studied at the Chisinau-based Gavriil Musicescu Institute of Arts, (1958-1960, 1963-1965), presently the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy. Misov acted as soloist (1964-71) at the studio orchestra of the Radio and Television from Chisinau, at that time led by David Fedov.

She participated in two editions of the Silver Chrysanthemum festival and contest with more sentimental songs. In 1993, Ludmila Misov was awarded the Prize II of the Silver Chrysanthemum contest.
