Chisinau International Airport Eugen Doga becomes promoter of Moldovan wine and traditions

Before National Wine Day, Chisinau International Airport Eugen Doga, in collaboration with the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV) today inaugurated Wine of Moldova country stand, a space that brings tradition, culture and story of Moldovan wine closer to passengers.

The project is part of a long-term collaboration Memorandum between the Airport and ONVV and aligns with international practices of great wine-producing countries such as Italy, France, or Portugal, which promote national values directly in airports.

'Wine of Moldova becomes a true ambassador of the country, present where passengers have their first contact with our identity,' declared Sergiu Spoială, director of Chisinau International Airport 'Eugen Doga'.

Wine of Moldova stand offers passengers a unique cultural and tasting experience, allowing them to discover authentic Moldovan wines right from the airport. Through this partnership, the Airport confirms its mission to connect the Republic of Moldova with the world not only through flights but also through values, traditions, and authentic ambassadors of the country.

The National Wine Day 2025 will take place from October 4–5 in the Great National Assembly Square in Chisinau. The event is organized by the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV), with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Ministry of Culture, UMAEF (Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund), as well as main partners maib and Mastercard. This edition marks 24 years since the establishment of the national celebration dedicated to wine. The event reunites over 100 winemakers from across the country, offering visitors the opportunity to taste collectible wines, limited editions, and established varieties. Participants will be able to learn about the winemaking process and discover the secrets of each wine directly from the producers.
