Moldova may stop buying electricity from Cuciurgan
Prime Minister Dorin Recean announced that purchasing electricity from Cuciurgan is not and will not be possible without guarantees that gas deliveries will not be stopped. He made the statement at a TV show yesterday.
Recean said that to resume energy purchases, we need firm guarantees that there will be no cuts in gas supplies.
"I don't see who could offer such guarantees. We have noticed that if there no such guarantees, then it costs citizens more," the source said.
The Prime Minister reiterated that the completion of Vulcanesti-Chisinau power line is very important, as it will ensure delivery security and an optimal cost for Moldovan citizens.
Russia's Gazprom halted natural gas supplies to the districts on the left bank of the Dniester river since 1 January.
